OASIS
Hebron Baptist Church is one of Atlanta's largest and friendliest congregations. My friends at the Oasis Bookstore &
Library had me back recently for an enjoyable book signing event. Pictured here are the ladies who help make Oasis such a
success: Nola Klaubert (left) and Janice Harrison (right). Thanks for having me, Hebron. (I even wore slacks for this event!)

LIFEWAY LADIES
My friend Nora St. Laurent, who works at LifeWay Mall of Georgia (she's second from the right), runs a ladies book club
at the store. We had a really fun time discussing NOBODY recently. These women couldn't say enough kind things about the new
book, and they sure did ask some tough questions! Thanks for having me,
Nora and LifeWay Ladies.

AT HOME IN MOBILE, ALABAMA
A recent road trip took author friends (from l-r) Cindy Woodsmall, Amy Wallace and me to Mobile, Alabama, for a fiction
presentation and book signing. Author Elizabeth White (far right) and her husband Scott were kind enough to have a small party
on our behalf, and to have us stay at their lovely home. Thanks again to our Mobile Connection!

READY TO GO
Here we are at Beth's house, before leaving for the book signing in Mobile.
We had an absolute blast. It's always refreshing spending time with other authors.

CORNERSTONE BOOKS AND GIFTS
The folks at Cornerstone, Mobile's largest Christian book store, were fantastic to us. They really promoted our fiction
workshop and made everything just right for our signing. They even provided us with some delicious chicken salad lunches before
we made the 6-hour trek back home to Atlanta.

THE PLEASURE WAS ALL MINE
Darlo Gemeinhardt drove four hours to come to our signing in Mobile. She had received some signed book plate stickers
I sent out to her as thanks for entering our contest, and she decided to come meet the author. That was probably the highlight
of the trip for me.

BORDERS BOOK CLUB
We had a blast recently at the Borders Book Club, discussing the new novel, NOBODY.
Thanks to all who came out!

GWINNETT READING FESTIVAL
This first annual event in booming Gwinnett County Georgia, out at the Gwinnett Fairgrounds,
was a real blast. We met tons of book lovers and fans. Here we have (l to r) Kemesha,
Shardaae, and Janet Sappleton. The team at the Gwinnett Library system did an
awesome job and served as a wonderful host. I'll go next year, if invited.

WHAT A NAME, WHAT A BOOK
Her name is River Jordan and, although I haven't read her latest novel, The Messenger
of Magnolia Street, I can't wait to do so. It sounds like a winner. River and I
signed next to each other at the Festival. Great neighbor.

BOOK TALK
Fellow Georgian Frank E. Darrow has a book of his own called The Vulture Project
which you can check out at iUniverse.com. Frank is a fan who's come out to
a number of my signings and I truly appreciate the support.

HALL BOOK EXCHANGE
Myra Meade has a wonderful book store in Gainesville, Georgia, not far from downtown.
We got together for a signing recently and had a wonderful time.

NITELINE LIVE
With the launch of my new novel, NOBODY, I've been doing a lot of TV and radio interviews
to get the word out about the book. This was just before my interview with host
Joanne Thompson on Niteline Live, broadcast on WGGS TV 16 out of Greenville, SC.

FIRST NOBODY SIGNING!
It was a great time Sept. 15 at one of my favorite stores, LifeWay Mall of Georgia. We had a steady flow of people for
about 3 hours. One of my daughters, Hannah, accompanied me and took these photos: stacks of the new book; fiction basket giveaway;
chatting with reader/writer Parrish Myers; talking with Madalan and Cal Schupner; and getting reacquainted with fan and friend
John Kolacki.

ARCHIVES FROM ICRS 07
Just found this photo taken by author friend Elizabeth Musser, from a signing with some nice ladies at the International
Christian Retail Show in Atlanta this summer. By the way, have ya'll read Elizabeth Musser's novels? They are incredible stories.
"Highly recommended!"

ERIC IN ATLANTA
Novelist Eric Wilson and I have spoken on the phone, emailed a good bit, and endorsed each other's books, but we'd never
met...until recently when Eric was in Atlanta to record some segments on Deeper Living TV. We ate Chinese and could have talked
all night. For more on Eric, go to my blog.

NO PLACE LIKE "HOME"
While in northeast Ohio I stopped to visit my friends at Logos of Kent, a marvelous book store in an old house built in
the 1890 era at 976 W. Main St. in Kent, Ohio. Left is owner Shane Kardos, and then Becky Gorczyca and Sue Eden. You can visit
their online store at www.kentlogos.com.

INTIMIDATION
No, that's not what it felt like dining with suspense author Wanda Dyson,
that's the name of one of her books...a must read.

SAY "DONALD MAASS"
What a great retreat and workshop with NY literary agent Donald Maass. Taking a breather
from L-R: Susan Meissner, Meredith Efken, Elizabeth Musser, Sharon Hinck,
Cindy Woodsmall, and Mark Mynheir.

"CUT THE BACK-STORY"
That's what we heard from Donald Maass. Here, a time-out with Mindy Starns Clark, Sarah Anne Sumpolec, and one of my daughter's
favorite authors, Kristin Billerbeck.

BROTHERS
Mark Mynheir and I signed contracts at the same time, three years ago, with Multnomah. We share the same wonderful editor
and the same dreams for our work. Keep writing for Him, bro!

GROUP HUG
Coffee break and Chi Libris group picture at the Hyatt. Okay, going from left to right, that's Gayle Roper...okay, no
room for all the names here. Spot anyone you know?

FRED THE COP?
"Fred" author Brad Whittington and Palm Bay detective/author Mark Mynheir pose for a mug shot during a time-out.
Brad was up for a Christy. Mark's novel The Void is the bomb.

GIRLS TABLE
Everyone seemed to get refreshed at the CL retreat. L-R: Robin Jones Gunn (Christy winner), Susan May Warren, Kristin
Billerbeck, Rachel Hauck, and Christine Lynxwiler.

GREAT NEIGHBORS
Authors Nancy Moser and Stephanie Higgins sat in front of me at the CL retreat and made me feel right at home. If you
haven't already, check out their books. Great stuff.

TO THE CHRISTY'S
After an awesome ChiLibris retreat in Atlanta, I pose with authors
Roxanne Henke (center) and Deb Raney (right) at the Hyatt Regency, before heading
to the Marriott Marquis for the Christy Awards.

STEPPING OUT
Here's a shot from the Hyatt lobby, before heading over to the Marquis for the Christy awards.

and Cindy Woodsmall.

AMY'S NIGHT
Stopped by Borders Mall of Georgia recently to get my copy of Ransomed Dreams signed by the author, Amy Wallace (3rd from
left). Nora St. Laurent (2nd from left) runs book clubs
at both Borders and LifeWay.

FUN SATURDAY
It was a blast hanging out with Georgia author friends (L-R) Dale Cramer, Cindy Woodsmall, and
Debby Giusti at Roswell Public Library recently. Check out their books!
